QWC graduate tutors work by appointment in Kimpel Hall 316 and the Mullins Library. Student writers may make 30- or 60-minute appointments for face-to-face tutoring, 60-minute appointments for online email tutoring, or 60-minute appointments for online chat tutoring.
Most of the center’s graduate tutors are doctoral candidates in English who teach classes in composition, essay writing, and world literature. We also employ graduate tutors from other disciplines who have distinguished themselves as skilled writers, teachers, and tutors. We hire and train graduate students who are interested in helping University of Arkansas students develop as writers.
